Racing Life Jackets

These life jackets feature heavy duty hardware, Cordura nylon, crotch straps, Ensolite high density flotation foam and a slim, comfortable fit. Leg bands can be substituted for crotch straps if desired, for an additional cost.

Outboard Jacket

For 25 years, this jacket has been the de facto standard of Outboard racing in APBA, AOF, NBRA and other organizations. Made to be worn with SRP Cut Sleeves and Pants, it is light weight, and features a low cut collar, and an extra long impact tail, a favorite for kneel-down drivers. Available in front zip (as shown) or side-zip. As of February 1 2007, all new lifejackets are sold with impact included as a standard feature.

Torso Suit

A favorite among laydown PRO outboard drivers and gaining popularity with kneeldown drivers, this jacket comes with Impact Material standard. The Front Zipper design includes a top zipper strap, a quick release belt, and the no-fuss step in design eliminates the need for crotch straps. Skid collar and Cordura ballistic nylon provide a durable outer to this jacket.

Capsule Suit

For Capsule-equipped PRO boat drivers, Tunnel Boat Racers and other boats with a driver restraint system, SRP's Capsule Suit is made to same rigorous specifications as our other jackets, with enhancements for the capsuled driver. 1/2" to 1" thick Ensolite allows for a comfortable fit. A Skid Collar designed for a capsuled cockpit comes standard, as does a seat belt cutter, and a single strap helmet restraint (side and front strap helmet restraints can be added at an additional cost.

Outboard Jacket/Cut Sleeves Combo

Take an outboard jacket, build kevlar into it, and add SRP's cut resistant sleeves to it. The result is SRP's newest jacket for outboard racing. Available with or without impact material, it features a slim, comfortable fit, and the sleeves can be made in any color. See our info on Cut Resistant Clothing for available colors.

Zipper Extender (not shown)

Referred to by some boat racers as "The Fat Strap" or "The Wedding Band", these add two inches additional girth capacity to any SRP jacket. Perfect for racers over 40 or kids who grow too fast.
